Inspiration from someone little

I was visiting a friend's blog and she had this amazing quote by Louis de Bernieres about love and what it means to truly love another person, after the initial sparks have subsided.

"LOVE IS A TEMPORARY MADNESS, IT ERUPTS LIKE VOLCANOES AND THEN SUBSIDES. AND WHEN IT SUBSIDES YOU HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION. YOU HAVE TO WORK OUT WHETHER YOUR ROOTS HAVE SO ENTWINED TOGETHER THAT IT IS INCONCEIVABLE THAT YOU SHOULD EVER PART. BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT LOVE IS. LOVE IS NOT BREATHLESSNESS, IT IS NOT EXCITEMENT, IT IS NOT THE PROMULGATION OF ETERNAL PASSION. THAT IS JUST BEING "IN LOVE" WHICH ANY FOOL CAN DO. For me, this reinforces that love, in all of its beautiful complexity, evolves into something far reaching and life changing. Reading this quote made me smile and left me feeling thankful, for I have found that person who has become so intertwined in my life, that I couldn't imagine anything different!
